Safety Guidelines Frequently Asked Questions
Are you able to host indoor weddings in New York City?
Yes. However, New York State has imposed various restrictions on wedding activities. In particular, for indoor wedding ceremonies, the number of guests is limited to 50% of the building's occupancy limit, as of March 2021. This means that at Tammany House, you can celebrate your wedding with up to 380 of your friends and family.
As local safety restrictions are lifted as the season progresses, we plan to expand the number of guests allowed to enjoy your big day.
What safety guidelines are imposed to ensure guests stay safe?
We adhere to all of New York City and New York State guidelines for indoor ceremonies. This includes:
- prior negative COVID testing,
- logging information for contact tracing, and
- requiring guests to wear masks at all times except when seated and eating or drinking.
Guests will be allowed to hit the dance floor with members of their immediate party, household, and family seated at the same table.
What if I still want to space things out?
We have plenty of space! 10,00 square feet sprawled amongst three floors. We can have a separate dance floor, set the tables up on the balcony, and have the temperature check on the first floor away from the main reception area.
